Artificial Intelligence in Marketing

Simon Ross, March 13, 2023

Here’s the thing, Artificial Intelligence isn’t new. It was first conceived in the 1940s and has been prophesied in the movies since the 80s and here we are, almost in 2023, and only now are we openly speaking about how AI can start to bring utility and benefit to the marketing world.

So how can marketing practitioners benefit from AI? Marketing is a human-lead business — and AI can actually help keep it that way. You may have heard of the recently launched ChatGPT. I asked it what benefits it can bring to marketing…

“Marketing departments can benefit from using artificial intelligence (AI) in several ways. For example, AI can be used to automate routine tasks and processes, freeing up time for employees to focus on more creative and strategic work. This can help to improve efficiency and productivity within the marketing department.

AI can also be used to analyze large amounts of data, such as customer behavior data, to gain insights and make more informed decisions about marketing and advertising campaigns. This can help marketing departments to target their campaigns more effectively and improve their performance.”
